WHY CELL PHONE CAMERAS?
The best camera to use is the one we have with us! These days most of us carry a very high quality camera in our purse or back pocket. Cell phone cameras are accessible and easy to use as they don’t require you to know about traditional techniques of photography like ISOs and F-stops. They are portable, unobtrusive and considerably lighter than typical camera equipment. They have also gained a lot of respect in the photography community. Major magazine covers and high end art has been created with cell phone cameras. I have won awards, contests and sold pictures taken with my cell phone. However, there is a lot you can learn about how to improve your cell phone photography skills. Whether you’re wanting to capture travel memories, take pictures of family, grandchildren, or you like photographing flowers, landscapes, architecture or street scenes my classes can help you take your photos from good to great!
MY BACKGROUND
It was the cell phone camera that brought me back into the world of photography and eventually to the career of professional photographer. Starting in 2015 I immersed myself in photography education. I honed my skills through books, online trainings, in person classes, and participation in photography groups, contests, social media and critique groups. I love teaching and have a background in teaching diverse array of subjects such as massage technique and theory, martial arts, and art infused STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum at the Tulsa Children’s Museum. I started teaching cell phone photography classes in 2016 and have taught to youth, senior citizens and everyone in between.
