In 2015 I walked the first 120 miles of the Camino de Santiago with three friends. The journey started in France in St. Jean Pied- du- Port, and crossed over the Pyrenees into North West Spain. It is a traditionally Catholic pilgrimage that is now traveled by people all over the world from many faiths, or no faith. It is a spiritual, rigorous, and profound experience to sink into the rhythms of being outside, walking, carrying what you own and following a path that has been walked since medieval times. It was during this trip that I made the decision to follow a life-long dream and pursue my love of photography as a career. In 2017 I returned to walk the last 100 miles and co-led a group of twenty people from my church. I hope to complete the full 500 mile journey at some point.
